vbox_logo2_gradient.pngI’ve been using VMWare’s Fusion application for the last few years and at the $79.99 dollar price tag, it is well worth the it, but as I was installing all the programs on my new Mac Mini for work I figured I would give Sun’s free VirtualBox a shot.

VirtualBox is a free program that allows you to install virtual machines on your mac. To be honest it is pretty amazing and has all the features that I needed and used in VMWare and its all for free.

It allows you to do the fullscreen and seamless modes just like Fusion and it loads everything fas. I honestly don’t notice a performance hit with the Mac Mini, which to me is a big praise.

But, just so you all know, VMWare did just recently released a new version and I haven’t really looked at the additional feature it adds, but I really doubt that I will give it a look, cause as for work related items I am all about going with VirtualBox.

So I guess since all Microsoft’s previous commercials were a big bust, they figure they would attack Apple with pricing.

I wonder how Apple will respond. Maybe a you get what you pay for ad??

Okay these are some of my favorite ad clips. Mainly because they are just stupid and make no real reason to why anyone would ever buy a windows pc.

Ctr Alt Del. Okay why would microsoft let this on there site? So the guy is a PC because he likes his computer to crash???

Say Cheese. This guy is just crazy therefore he uses a PC.

Tron Guy. I think his suit says it all.

Okay these Ads are a million times better then the Gates and Seinfeld Ads. I still don’t believe it’s as good as the Apple’s PC & Mac, but it’s a start.

According to Gizmodo the Microsoft Ads staring Gates & Seinfeld have not been put to death. I guess we will just have to wait and hope to never see one again.

After airing only two commercials, Microsoft has canceled the new Gates/Seinfeld Ads. If you are wondering why they would do such a thing, you most have not seen them so I posted them below.

Seinfeld apparently had a contract which paid him 10 million dollars for the Ads. 10 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! That’s just ridiculous. I know Microsoft is a multi-billion dollar company and all, but you think they would look into things a bit better and do a little more research before throwing money out the window. Somebody had to of read the script for these commercial and thought “Hey these suck!”. I would figure Bill himself would be a little smarter than to have even done them. But maybe he just really wanted to be on TV with Jerry.

I guess either way we can now celebrate the fact that they are over and we wont ever have to sit through another one. Or at least we hope we wont.
