Backing up Photo’s to the “cloud”.
This blog post is a little different then most, cause usually I post about what I do or like or have tried. This post I really want your opinion on what I should do.
So for months I have been meaning to find a way to backup my wife’s photos to “the cloud” and I’m still not sure what way I really want to go.
Currently I do have a few personal thoughts on how I could go:
- I could just upload to flickr (I do have a pro account) and mark all the photos as private. (This is one method I have been contemplating for a while.)
- I could go the Mozy or Carbonite route and backup more then just my photos automatically and restore if/when something really bad happens.
- I could go the route of Amazon S3 storage (or other like service) where I can either drag and drop or use software for an automatic backdrop.
Also keep in mind that my wife is a professional and hobbyist photographer, so we have at least half a terabyte or more of photos.
So any suggestions?
