Carbonite Beta for Mac Released
I just received an email from Carbonite and the Beta version of it for the mac has been release. You have to use a mac to get to the page. But if you are willing to be a part of the beta here is the link.
Carbonite is an Online Backup Service. All you do is install a small application on your computer that works in the background looking for new and changed files that need to be backed up. The service cost $50 dollars(Beta is currently free) a year for what they claim to be an unlimited amount of storage.
The only downfall of services like carbonite is the time it takes to get your system fully backed up. Due to internet service providers supplying slow upload speed, it could take a few weeks or more to backup the avaerage users system fully. However, once your system is backed up, all you will have to worry about is backing up new and updated files.
